good interview blight seemed to give an honest opinion into what happened, interesting that the guys were told after the fife game no more players too be released? as much as he said a few times that he is excited to be in sheffield i think his heart is still in cardiff

All Steelers talk for first 4:40 then talks about himself
Very frank and honest interview by Chris. He came across very professionally discussing what has obviously been a very difficult time for him and most of the Devils players this year.

Mentioned the 'trade' element of the move and there seemed to be lots of negotiations with owners etc to make it happen. Any idea what we might have got out of it (besides wage savings)? Are trades even allowed?

Wouldn't have got anything except saving his wage, and weakening the squad.

I would be amazed if there was any transfer fee involved. The term 'trade' has just been used as PR media spin by the devils to soften the blow. It should have been 'we've been trying to her rid of Chris to just about anyone so we don't have to pay his two weeks notice, Sheffield have kindly taken him off our hands'.
