It's disappeared into the mods section of the forum until people stop hassling me outside of the forum about the posts that are on there.

I have deadlines tomorrow and Wednesday, I have no idea what has really happened with the juniors and I don't have the time to read 21 pages of arguing at the moment.

Good signing for the NIHL. I'm guessing if it wasn't for the summer changes we'd have seen him possibly called up to the EIHL side during the season. Not sure if that will happen this year though?

Which is a massive shame. Although it didn't work out for him after that season with Michel and Macrae, I doubt there are many better NIHL players to call on than Sam..

Cardiff NIHL are pleased to announce two more signings for the 2014/15 season.

Chris Hart a highly experienced D-Man will captain the Cardiff NIHL 1 team this season. Chris joined the Cardiff Junior System in 2004/5 going on to make his NIHL debut just three seasons later in 2007/08 at 16 years of age. Since that time he has accumulated 173 appearances at NIHL level, he also spent a brief time in Germany in 2011/12 where he made eight appearances for RT Bad Neuheim U20's. In 2012/13 Chris made 13 appearances in the Elite League for the Devils and made one further appearance in the EIHL last season.

Sam Smith also joined the Cardiff Junior System in 2004/05, then moved to Canada to play two seasons for the Okanagen Rockets in 2007/09 and then onto Dubuque Thunderbirds in 2009/10. Sam returned to Cardiff the following year and played the next two seasons for the Devils making 118 elite league appearances, scoring 23 goals with 35 assists and during that time he also was selected for the Great Britain U20's making 5 appearances in the WJC in 2010/11, he then moved to Coventry Blaze making a further 38 EIHL appearances before moving last season to the EPL with Swindon Wildcats making 47 appearances with 13 goals and 27 assists. Sam is now firmly based back in Cardiff as he is developing a long term career in property sales and it is Cardiff NIHL's good fortune that they have been able to capture a powerful winger of his experience for the 2014/15 season.

It looks like the NIHL team might be more competitive than first thought. I just hope some of the players follow Cudd's advice and continue to play. They are all good lads and it is such a shame to see friendships torn apart because of Ragan's debts

Nail on the head there Kipper. It would be a shame if any players who love the game missed out on a season through politics or egos.

I was thinking of not watching NIHL this year as I think the way things are turning out is not going to benefit either the Devils or junior players in Cardiff. Now someone is to blame for this mess but I for one don't think it is the players who will be turning out this year.So I have decided that I will be watching.
I hope the other thread comes out of moderation soon,things need to be said/sorted out as soon as possible.If it doesn't I will have suspicion that someone has pulled it because they don't like the things being said,and that would be wrong.

Nobody more anti Ragan than me and I am concerned what has happened to the fees it pay. However what is done is done. Time to get behind the players who remain now. They are the innocent victims in all this

Cardiff NIHL are pleased to announce a further 3 signings

David Sadler has re-signed for Cardiff NIHL for his 8th season having made his NIHL1 debut in 2007/08. The experienced forward has made 164 appearances, scoring 12 goals with 52 assists during this time. A player who gives 100% to the team and is generally always noticed by opposing fans.

Joe Morris has also re-signed with Cardiff NIHL having made his NIHL1 debut in 2011/12 and this highly effective left handed D-Man has made 59 appearances at this level, having also made 40 appearances over the same period with the NIHL2 team. His aim this season is to further add to his NIHL1 experience and is now seen as an established regular of this team. Joe was also captain of the highly successful U18 team from 2012/13 that went on to win U18's South and the national play offs.

Keiran Latchford has re-signed and like Joe made his NIHL1 debut in 2011/12 this highly promising centre has made 31 appearances for NIHL1 and also made one appearance for the Devils Elite League team last season. Keiran has also iced 44 times for the NIHL2 team and is also now looking to establish himself in the NIHL1 team. Keiran is the seventh player from the multi trophy winning 2012/13 U18's team to sign with Cardiff NIHL for this season.

I must be honest I agree with icecoach2020, friedegg and kipper - when will the NIHL/Cardiff Fire thread be placed back live?

There was relevant points being made from both sides and after all this is a Cardiff ice hockey forum?
Or are we simply looking to sweep this hot debate under the carpet?

Not at all, that's not in anyone's interest. I'm not sure where its been moved, I'll have a look in the mod logs.
