Panthers should be proud of their CHL journey - they played well tonight but their game was killed by that 1st Zurich goal, the 5 minute pk and general fatigue that they were struggling with in p3. The teams were well matched for 1st two periods but Lions were able to ice 5 forward lines to keep aggression and energy going for them. Garnett and the atmosphere at NIC were outstanding.
Panthers have every reason to be positive at home - qualified for next round of CC and top of the League....at least for the moment. ;-)

I think that Corey Neilson has summed it up perfectly... he's said that there's a difference between losing and failing. The Panthers lost... they did not fail. More than that, they massively over-achieved in even getting this far.
And what a night... one hell of a game, one hell of an atmosphere - one that none of us are ever going to forget.
It's been one hell of an adventure, but it's over now. That's life. Now we just have to turn our full attention to domestic competitions. This could get interesting...
