No doubt but he didn’t have the pedigree of Reid and with all due respect, the man he was signed to replace played 54 games and scored 95points!
Fair point - Reid was just shy of 200 games in the AHL which is as good a pedigree as any of our team. Pierce was an enigma, off the top of my head only Jason Becker and Gleason Fournier were as smooth a skaters I have seen but.... there was something missing in his make up which meant that when the going got tough, he had an annoying tendency to disappear
