There are 2 more valuable league points on the line as the Storm come to the Bay. We've already faced them twice in the cup chalking up a decisive win and an overtime loss so far. Hopefully the team have had a bit of rest after last weekends 3 in 3 and maybe get a body or 2 back.

Everything crossed for the GOAT to best the record in front of a home crowd. Have been wondering what the party line on Ulett is going to be. Do we reckon someone targets him up for retribution or we just focus on winning the game and taking the PPs that he'll inevitably give..

We know Gourley can handle himself but if we're running 5D still by the weekend might be risky business trading 5 minutes on an import D man. Not sure Batch will be looking at prearranged fights now that he's got a young family to think of mind

The moral highground is the only way to go with Ulett. We need to get the points guaranteed first. We definitely do not need to lose a D man for 5 minutes or longer with an aggressor/instigator.
Every player should be working on getting retaliation by eliminating his threat every shift.

A most ironic post considering your username.

Stick the moral high ground, nothing gets the crowd going like a scrap with a bit of bad blood.

Moral high ground don't win leagues, every team knowing they can turn up to OUR rink and bully us and target players will LOSE us the league. What happened at the last game can not go unchallenged. As the great Nigel Owens would say, this is not Soccer

I said at the time that I wonder what barrow must've thought being pummeled to pillar and post throughout the game and to top it off he got attacked by that goon ullit...I expecting one or 2 fights when that happened but no . No one big enough to step up after the assault on a defenceless player..people will say the game has changed but when things like that happened and bullied from start to finish in that game was unacceptable..if I were PR get the boys in and show them that incident numerous occasions next few days. As far as I remember we never got bullied in WNIR or BBT as much as in vindico since it opened. Got to set the tone even to the bigger teams we won't get bullied anymore..just saying

Get 3 goals up and then have Brandt, MacWilliams and Gourley l take turns absolutely flattening Ullet with open ice clean hits as he won't be able to control himself and he'll instigate the fight.

Then just have someone, literally anyone chin him.

Open ice clean hits are easier said than done, which is why they're rare these days. Players are usually aware of how to avoid them, Ullett certainly will be.
This shouldn't be a distraction or a focus before the game starts. Let's worry about winning, they're a dangerous team. If things get spicy during the game then we'll deal with them organically, not a premeditated target on one player.

Focusing on Ullet and trying to line him up for open ice hits would only ensure that OUR players are being put off the game plan.

Yes, if the opportunity arises during play to ‘cream him’ against the boards then, yes take the shot but by far the best way to exact retribution without our team losing focus the on game plan is for Batch or MacWilliam or Gourley to take him centre ice on his first shift and batter him. Then when he steps outta the box and back on the ice then a different one of the 3 batters him again.

Then, hopefully the game settles down and we have 50 minutes plus to batter them on the scoreboard!
