Baltimore used to be Cardiff's North American sister city. Perhaps we can dream about a connection with Pittsburgh organisation seeing as there are so many Welsh roots in Pennsylvannia.

And ,more importantly, our owners are from Calgary. A link with the Flames organisation is the stuff hockeydreams are made of.

It's a ludicrous idea, they could never have thought anybody on that side of the pond would have supported it. In a few yrs with more stadium venues and larger support base we could well see more teams playing in the UK.

If you read the articles then it is made clear they aren't talking about moving the current competition, but creating a new one taking teams from many local colleges. Could work as some form of exchange trip, with many Bostonians building it in as an excuse to visit the UK.

Remember this isn't a professional hockey tournament but rather a scholastic competition and thus far more likely to succeed.
