Does anyone know why he didn't play till the 3rd period in yesterday nights game against Belfast?

He Did play before the 3rd period.
Last night Towe was taken off the regular shift, but was very present on the Penalty kill.
Basically it seems Ben Davies has taken his regular slot and Towe is now an exclusive penalty killer. Tough Break for Matt who through no fault of his own was taken from centre and put on the wing, but fair play to the lad he took every shift with high energy and was a big part of killing all our penalties.
Matt had 5 shifts last night
1 shift in first where he broke up an attack on the penalty kill and cleared the zone and in the second period he did not ice until about 5 mins from the end when finnerty was tired and jumped over the bench and no devils player jumped on so Matt came on lol. Gotta give it to him he was wide awake and played a pretty decent game.
He did everything that he should of last night.
He also got an assist in Coventry tonight so hopefully will get some confidence back.
It is though a winning team at present.
