As we all know via Maxi Birbraer, Kazakhstan is very nice place. In the first of the Devils Continental cup finals we face off against Nomad Astana of the Pro Hokei Ligasy. To be honest its a bit difficult to find anything current about the team if anyone can educate further.

Hopefully the team will be a bit more educated about them this time than they were in the last round.

A key game. They were a banana skin last time round and there is no reason to think they will be anything other than that this time around.

They went to Grenoble with a very young squad which might have lulled us into a false sense of security but without exception they are fast skating and skilful. Their powerplay was great to watch and their passing slick.

Having said that, we were the better team for periods and they were rattled when we were direct with our approach. They got quite chippy when we started niggling them. So they are certainly beatable, however, we will have to be good to win.
