Oktoberfest tournament

I wont be arranging a bus to this tournament, but possibly I will be arranging one to the Friday game in Sheffield.

I feel sick! I've just read the Elite League website's article giving further details about the tournament. The draw for the teams will take place live on Radio Sheffield on the Friday night. Guess who one of the draw masters is? Dave Matsos! Guess who's hosting the show? Dave Simms! Is this self promotion? Or are they the new Chuckle Brothers? :lol:

The saving grace on the show is that all the coaches will be interviewed to get their reactions to the draw. Thank god G will be there to add a touch of class to the proceedings. At least we'll hear some intelligible and interesting comments from him and some of the other coaches.

Why didnt they put this on a Saturday so we all could have had a nice few (yeh right) drinks and generated the tipsy, excited mood of the play offs (or something close to it).
Sunday night, work the next day - bore!

Right - I have my tickets booked (being so close, it would be rude not to).

Anyone else heading up? By my guess, it will be all over by about 8 o'clock. An hour per game, leave an hour between rounds.
