Awesome - that's a massive confidence boost ahead of tomorrows game and particularly for the away leg. Looks like our away form might be improving at just the right time! :D

other scores tonight

HULL 2- Coventry 1

Belfast 1 CAPS 0 end of second but due to a massive delay caps are apparently refusing to play 3rd period because they will miss ferry home. Delay was due to there being a hole in the ice. According to THF.

Just back and I have to say that this was a great away performance from the Devils, the difference between this performance and the last one at the NIC was like night and day.

Our first goal was a thing of beauty, a tic tac toe move between Maxi and Smith and a superb shot past KSP, when we made it 2-0 shortly afterwards we were in total control.

Inevitably Panthers came into it more in the 2nd and 3rd but we consistently looked dangerous on the break. Stevie had a great game and to be honest I was pretty confident going into the last 10 minutes.

To be honest we probably should have wrapped it up in normal time. Tylor took a couple of cheap penalties and this allowed the Panthers back in the game but, in many ways it was even sweeter winning on penalties.

Maxi was really up for it tonight and was a deserved MOM but full credit to Mike Hardwick who clocked up massive minutes today and Miller who was awesome and who also managed to collide with another NM....although Tylor did the job properly shortly afterwards.

Good game, fantastic to get a win and hopefully we can keep the momentum rolling!

What a great win against a very good Nottingham team at a venue we have a very dissapoiting record in. Great boost for the guys mentally going into tonight's game. 6 league wins in a row is great form and it would be great if we can take that confidence into tonight.

Ideally we wouldn't have gone to OT and penalities as we didn't want a late drive home last night but hopefully the guys will get plenty of rest and be ready for the Big One tonight. It's encoruaging also not to read of any suspensions or injuries from last night.

Well done boys.

Just got back :?
For 2 periods we outplayed them, they only came back in the 3rd after 2 silly pens by Michel put us on the back foot. Watching the 3rd it was inevitabe they would come back especially after the crowd were booing them. They don't like Neilson that's plain to see, they were continuing to dump and ice the puck on their PP. Well worth the £15 (!!!) to watch the lads beat the jinx
One other thing, there was over 5000 there last night and they were as quiet as a church mouse until they scored, it won't be like that tonight that's for sure.
