That is a good and accurate interview. Funny how stepping out of the EIHL bubble into the real world of hockey allows Thommo to form these opinions of which I agree whole heartedly. And he is an EIHL owner. Shows the lunacy of the power axis in the UK. Blinkered, ignorant and arrogant. Like I continually bang on about. Until the infrastructure is in place to put a GB team in Pool A and the Winter Olympics hockey will remain the stunted car crash witnessed season in and out.

I think the lack of much of a relationship between EPL and EIHL hurts GB and UK hockey in general but the Devils do seem to have a good youth system right up to the Elites with the ENHL 1 and 2 teams bridging the gap from U18. I know its fun to knock the organisation but in this respect we can really be seen as a model for others.
