Many many people connected with ice hockey will be very sad today. Andre definitely left his mark on the sport here.
Thoughts and prayers with Andre's family. RIP.

Gutted to hear this news after everything. Andre was doing so well in his new coaching role and had even set up some kind of scholarship deal for young British players to go over and play on his team. He was a father who would regularly post proud pictures of his young son and would talk highly of him always. How quick things can change. As a hockey player he was a legend who wore his heart on his sleeve game in and game out. A true entertainer and someone every supporter loved to hate but would love to have on their own team. He will be missed by all those in the hockey world that were lucky enough to have some fond memories of him either as a player, coach or manager. My thoughts go out to his Family, Friends and his club. May you now rest in peace bigman and thanks for the memories.

Forever the pantomime villain, Andre brought so much entertainment on his visits to the WNIR and then the BBT.
A true character of the game, and the world is worse off without him.
