In my eyes not a great loss , seemed like PR was doing the bulk of coaching , king didn't do much really maybe behind the scenes but not much input match nights, he did remind me of horn a lot, didn't see much of him if anything in the inside devils videos either, I'm sure others will agree .

I personally think this is an awful take.
His expertise is as a goalie coach and apparently highly regarded video guy.
If an experienced assistant bench coach is what PR wants King is not the man and that’s on PR and the Org. But there is room for three as Kings is a specialist job in its own right

But if there is a tight budget, I would personally prefer a assistant coach with knowledge rather than a stats guy computer nerd

Yes that's what I couldn't understand as he is only a goaltender coach and no input on match nights like franny has, and any other assistant coach that may replace king, Jamie elson would make a perfect trio on the bench., if not this season maybe next season.

When it comes down to it, it's PR's choice. From the interviews I've seen, Euan is the best at what he does in UK. Why wouldn't you want him on your side?

Agree it's PR choice and he will want the best around him. Analysis on teams is a huge tool but not seen any obvious signed it's working. Would rather an assistant coach to support the coach.

Given the obvious gaps we have in this team, combined with some woeful performances, wrapped up in inconsistency, I'd find it hard to believe that the first intervention would be to gas the goalie coach/video guy.

I feel that's a rather rash assumption to make. For all we know the video prepping for opponents may be flawless. Unless we're aware of what's being briefed we can't possibly know if the issue is with that or execution. That said, given what I've seen in terms of failures of basic skills like passing and skate position, my money would be on players not executing.

Flawless possibly but we play in a 10 team division so not much need after a while. It can't be that hard of a job to employ someone full time to do, get a decent assistant in to support the in ice side of it and am sure they would be capable of watching a video of Coventry danger men and how to play against them for the 100th time

Genuine question but how do you know that? Surely PR is the head coach so should be doing the bulk of the coaching whilst Euan is supposed to be focusing on the NMs. Given there is not a lot wrong with out netminding this season, surely the logic is that he is doing a decent job but you appear adamant that he isn't..... why?
