TICKET RECEIPTS

Thread starter #1
Can someone explain how the receipts from tickets sales are allocated? Does the home club keep all of the monies, or does the away team receive part of it? My reason for asking is that I am puzzled as to why a number of challenge cup games double up as leagues games as well. Is it more beneficial for the away team if they only have to travel once and therefore save on travelling costs, especially for games in Belfast? Having said that it means that the home team only gets one games ticket sales. Or maybe it is down to the arena teams not being able to get extra ice time. Your thoughts please.

Gate receipts are not shared.

The games which tend to get doubled up are arena games where the home team can't get ice time even if they wanted the extra gate.
