Scrap that then. It’s an illusion. There seems to be far more space on that ice pad than in Cardiff, hence Brandt is less effective on the forecheck.

I think it’s because you can see more ice, and not a pad full of advertising, much more white when you see Panthers ice. Also possibly because you are further away from the pad.

I think the viewing angle is really high up in the away end and it does seem bigger than Cardiff ice
