Pumped for this despite CC campaign so far. If we win will be great, if we lose will be able to use it in about a decade in the inferno, to school new Devils fans complaining about losing 3 on the bounce about how “I remember us losing 6 straight in the cup in the 22/23 season back when we played in IAW. Riley Brandt was a player for us in those days before he became the coach. We had an absolutely massive gantry back then, stretched for miles. There was a proper atmosphere back then an’ all. If you think this is bad you don’t know you’re born mate! Typical inferno hot takes LOL!”

God help us if we lose this. I’m sure the boys have had a rocket up their arse today and I assume Hedley will start. Might see Coventry rest one or two as well with them having a big game against Sheffield on Sunday. They’ll have one eye on that. No excuses if we lose

Sorry Pembo, going to have to pull you up on this one! We need to be extremely careful when quantifying any estimated sizing for the Gantry.

As you’ll no doubt be aware, no actual size has ever been quantified or confirmed. Teams of experts have undertaken numerous studies and tried to calculate the size of the overall area, however, it’s been impossible to date due to the sheer capacity (and nobody has a big enough calculator!).

There was a rumour that the team who looked at it last month (Official US Pentagon Earth Measurement Dept) detected signs of Inravatec Solar Vibration variances.

Basically, the Gantry is drawing energy from the sun and it’s estimated that as a result it’s organically growing in size by approximately 10% a week! It’s a living thing!!!!!

As you can imagine, mentioning in 10 years time that the Gantry reached for miles will be totally unbelievable considering it will likely be the size of Western Europe by that point!

“You whippersnappers getting angry because of an overtime loss to current playoff champions Norwich Snallygasters ?!? You think that’s bad?!? I was there for the start of the 22/23 season when we lost 6 straight in the cup. This was just before we realised the gantry had become sentient and had just blown up Nord Stream pipeline and co-ordinated a run on the pound in collaboration with other (smaller) gantries and several hedge funds….”

Very much a lose/lose for the Devils tonight. No doubt Todd would have put a rocket up them and read them the riot act - if they win, it’ll be because of that or because Blaze are resting some. If they lose, it’s to be expected because we’re awful.
I agree, the next four games will be a better reflection of where we really are. I don’t doubt our ability to be able to ‘get up’ for the odd game here and there (although it’s lacked at times this season), when your ‘superstars’ aren’t firing and you’re relying or goals and inspiration from the lower lines it just isn’t sustainable and could be shown up in this next four game run. Interesting times ahead but you can guarantee Todd hasn’t been a passive observer in this. He will be having his say.

Holsa and Lishchynsky miss out through injury so it looks like we are starting with Jordan Hedley in the nets and Will Bray as backup.
2 men short and one as important as Holsa, it should be your night as you are at full strength.

You can have a full roster but if they don't figuratively show up then may as well be skating with only a handful. Need to see a cohesive, consistent performance tonight. And if it doesn't go our way at some point then a spark is needed - whether a physical response or skill play.

Blips happen. But they need to show they actually want to get out of it.

Not sure we dominated for all of that opening period - but a lot better than recently. But need to keep it up and actually go up a gear from here. Thank god for that equalizer - otherwise our heads might have dropped.

Did Cougs flick it up over the D man and the net, to then finish in front?

Coughler got a bit lucky. He flicked it up but it deflected off the blaze players stick and over the goal. Can’t fault his tenacity to get to the puck first though and he finished it well.
