37-17 says it all really.Green and bulman are flabbergasted with our performance saying we are disjointed and this is not like a normal devils side which has always been there weapon in work ethic and forecheck

Crawford a bloody liability, given away poor penalties when we are already 3-1 down, another poor player
Absolutely no need for it either. I was saying we need to stay out of the box & then Crawford goes and does that. This is one or the poorest displays I've seen the Devils play in a long while.

In recent years, we brought in Fournier. Strachan and Morrisonn around this time of year, we know the impact that had. Recruitment is a bit of a lottery. Not embarrassing if you recognise that things are not right and try to address it, but what is embarrassing, is if you know/can see that things are not right and you do nothing about it. Easy to say and very aware that there are financial implications to this. Also, Todd et al could well be considering options, really hope so as this is just not good.

They need to do something about the lineup, at this rate we'll be struggling to end up in the top 3 this season.

Last night someone posted on another thread that they didn’t know what the "root cause" of our inconsistency is but the coaching staff need to work it out. Or words to that effect.

Well, let me give the coaching staff a clue. It’s the PLAYERS!
Last season we were inconsistent, it’s basically the same team as last season with the same frailties and the same weaknesses!

The balance of the team was all wrong last year and despite what DuPont has claimed we have not addressed those problems at all.

We have not got a bigger, heavier offence and we have not improved puck retention and we have even less net front presence.
And we still crumble and continually turn over the puck when faced with a heavy pressing forecheck!

And the fastest way to lose a game is "Turnovers"!

All my opinion of course!

It's already possible it's being discussed. They can trigger the replacements option under the rules. Certainly a resolution needs to be found to address the causes of the Team's inconsistencies.

Seems the enormous effort physically and mentally to get that CC qualification result last night has left them with nothing to offer at Nottingham.

Feel for our first bus load of away fans who have made it to Nottingham and are watching this performance. Painful (and on the pocket, too)

Ps.where did the Clan sign John Muse from at this stage in the season?

Too soon to suggest last yrs woes didn’t fall at Skalde feet, maybe the peeps who had the last word on recruitment should take some responsibility for a change. For a club that boasts a large pool of players wanting to come to Cardiff, these the best on offer for 2 yrs, seriously, honestly.
